Details

The MLC8A is a multi-channel level contol surface from the MLC8 series, that is designed to be used in surround sound studios where level control is desired over multiple speakers. It features 75 & 110 Ohm AES inputs, and provides digital and analog outputs. The MLC8A is equipped with eight LED bargraph level displays, individual channel and master level control with mute function, level status LED indicators, presets and toggling between 5.1 and stereo listening, and 7.1 & 5.1 to stereo mix-down capability. Furthermore, the MLC8A may also be ordered with a remote control unit (MLC8R), for facilities that require more than one interface. When properly equipped, the MLC8 series of controllers can handle AES, Dolby E, Dolby AC3, analog audio, or HD/SD embedded signals.

  • • Multi-channel level control surface that is designed to display the levels of multiple audio signals in a surround sound environment (5.1 + 2) and to provide acoustic mixing of these signals with overall global level control
  • • When properly equipped the MLC8 can handle AES, Dolby E, Dolby AC3, analog audio, or HD/SD embedded signals
  • • Equipped with eight LED bargraph level displays, individual channel and master level control with mute function, level status LED indicators, presets and toggling between 5.1 and stereo listening, and 7.1 & 5.1 to stereo mix-down capability.
  • • Accepts 75 Ohm unbalanced or 110 Ohm balanced AES audio signals. Operator must switch input selector between the balanced and unbalanced AES signals.
  • • Mounts in a standard 19-inch rack and occupies one rack unit of space
  • • All connections are made on the rear panel and all displays and operating controls are located on the front panel
  • • Calibrated to operate at the nominal level of -20dBFS = 0. Other operating nominal levels (such as -18, -14, -12 dBFS) may be set as per order specifications
  • • May also be ordered with a remote control unit for facilities that require more than one interface (Order information for remote control unit: MLC8-AR)
